Clinical Mental Health Counseling - MCoun

The OSU Clinical Mental Health Counseling master’s degree meets the educational requirements for licensure as a counselor in Oregon (LPC), Washington (LMHC), and in many U.S. states. Graduates are also eligible to become board certified counselors by the National Board of Certified Counselors. To determine whether this program meets licensure requirements in your desired state of residence, you must contact the appropriate licensing board(s).

School Counseling - MCoun

The School Counseling Master's program prepares students to work as school counselors in Oregon and beyond. As a CACREP accredited program, the OSU School Counseling master’s degree aims to prepare graduates to be leaders and advocates for change in their schools and communities. Math Education & Science Education - MS

In this online, hybrid program, you’ll draw upon current research to create innovative and inclusive science and math learning environments. Faculty in Oregon State’s College of Education will help you develop a broad range of instructional strategies so you can meet the needs of diverse learners at different levels of development. This is a hybrid program that blends predominantly asynchronous online coursework with limited face-to-face sessions.

Master's in Education in Adult & Higher Education

The Master of Education in Adult and Higher Education (M.Ed-AHE) program is offered in partnership with OSU's award-winning Ecampus. This two-year master’s degree program is designed for you to directly apply your learning to your organization’s unique learning environment, meaning you can keep your job while pursuing this degree. You will gain applied skills and knowledge for designing, implementing, and assessing educational programs in a variety of formats (in-person, online, hybrid). This degree can prepare you to deliver programming in front of an audience or behind the scenes as a content developer.

Master's of Arts in Teaching

Few professions have the potential to impact lives like teaching. Our nationally accredited, cohort-based teaching program offers Master of Arts in Teaching degrees in elementary and secondary education, as well as coursework to support continuing learning and accreditation. Teaching faculty focus on instructional strategies and methods, best practices, research-driven theory, and practical experiences to prepare teaching candidates for an Oregon Preliminary Teaching License.

Master of Arts in Teaching in Special Education

The MAT-SPED program, offered in partnership with OSU’s award-winning Ecampus, prepares students to earn a Special Education license in Oregon. Students may complete the degree entirely online, except for the final year which includes a teaching experience in a special education classroom within their community.

Adult & Higher Education Ed.D.

The hybrid Ed.D. degree in Adult & Higher Education has a newly updated curriculum designed for students interested in advancing in leadership positions in higher education. The curriculum has been updated to better meet the current needs of leaders at technical colleges, community colleges, and 4-year colleges and universities.

Adult & Higher Education Ph.D.

The Ph.D. in Adult and Higher Education trains equity-minded researchers in the field of higher education. This full-time, traditional Ph.D. program is designed for students interested in pursuing research and policy positions in higher education. The Ph.D. allows students to work closely with a faculty advisor with similar, equity-driven research interests.

Counseling - Ph.D.

This hybrid program prepares students to work as advanced practitioners, counselor educators, and supervisors in clinical and academic settings. As a CACREP accredited program, graduates are prepared be to be leaders and advocates in the counseling field. The degree emphasizes student contributions to counselor education through research while understanding and addressing the needs of today's communities. Students can work full-time during the program in order to continue to provide meaningful professional counseling services to the communities in which they live and work. Face-to-face classes occur only twice each quarter.

Education - Ph.D.

Our Doctorate of Philosophy in Education program is an in-person research-oriented degree located on the beautiful Corvallis campus. The program provides unique opportunities for students to develop their research skills alongside world-class faculty whose expertise aligns with the students’ interests. Both full- and part-time students are welcomed into this flexible program that prioritizes small groups. We are committed to equity in education with expertise in cultural and social aspects of education across all contexts. Faculty draw on diverse theoretical perspectives, community engagement and policy work at the community, state, and national levels.

Dual Language Specialization / ESOL Graduate Certificate

The English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) and Dual Language Graduate Certificates help you learn more about effectively teaching multilingual students. The ESOL Graduate Certificate enables you add an ESOL endorsement to your Oregon teaching license, and the Dual Language Graduate Certificate enables you add a Dual Language specialization to your Oregon teaching license. Courses are fully online and include direct applications to your classroom.

Instructional Design Graduate Certificate

Earn your Graduate Certificate in Instructional Design online with Oregon State University in only one year. In this fully online program, you’ll gain an understanding of how adults learn and process information and the ability to identify their learning preferences.

Through the use of instructional technology, this program is designed to provide you with applied skills and knowledge for designing, implementing and assessing educational programs in a variety of formats (in-person, online and hybrid).

Master of Adapted Physical Education

Become a K-12 physical education and adapted physical education teacher. By completing this professional degree program, referred to as MAPE, you’ll also earn a recommendation for an Oregon K-12 preliminary teaching license in physical education and an endorsement in adapted physical education.
