At Oregon State University, we offer multiple degrees in Adult and Higher Education: Adult and Higher Education (EdM), Community College Leadership (EdD or PhD), and Leadership in Higher Education (EdD or PhD). Our master’s degree is fully online and the doctoral programs are hybrid format (online with face-to-face classes in Wilsonville, OR).
Adult & Higher Education: The Master of Education (EdM) in Adult and Higher Education program will prepare you to meet the unique demands of adult leaders in business and industry, government, community agencies, online environments, and community college programs. Our courses in theory, system design, assessment, research, and instructional technology, as well as internships, provide you with the tools and knowledge to design curriculum and implement the most effective learning strategies in a variety of educational settings throughout your professional career.
Community College Leadership: A Doctorate in Education (EdD) or Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) with the Community College Leadership option focuses on the role and mission of the United State’s community colleges and on applying high-quality research, best practices and leadership to the challenges and opportunities facing community and technical colleges in the 21st century.
Leadership in Higher Education: A Doctorate in Education (EdD) or Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) with the Leadership in Higher Education (LHE) option is dedicated to focusing on the role and mission of America’s four year colleges or universities and on applying high-quality research, best practices and leadership to the challenges and opportunities facing four-year colleges or universities in the 21st century.
