This microcredential serves as a professional development opportunity for currently licensed educators seeking to deepen their ability to support diverse learners in their classrooms. As earning graduate-level credits is often an avenue of professional advancement for educators, we’re expanding support for in-service educators seeking professional growth. 

It can also be stacked toward a graduate certificate, offering additional expertise for practicing teachers or individuals considering a pathway to certification. 

For students pursuing licensure, this microcredential can serve as a stepping stone towards a graduate degree, such as our Master of Arts in Teaching in Special Education. For instance, instructional assistants who are exploring a teaching career could use this microcredential as an entry point into the field and begin progressing towards a degree.
