About the Education Graduate Minor
Did you know that the College of Education offers an Education Graduate Minor? If you’re interested in pursuing a career that involves learning, teaching, or leadership, this minor could be a great fit. Open to all Master’s and Ph.D. students at Oregon State University, the minor helps students become well-versed in teaching theory, education policy, and education research methodologies.
The Education Graduate Minor is geared towards students who are seeking academic positions that do not require a K-12 teaching license. The minor prepares students for career opportunities such as teaching in a community college or four-year college setting, non-profit education, education research, and policy analysis. Designed to work in tandem with your interests and goals, students in the minor will work with a faculty advisor to determine course requirements and shape their academic journey to their needs.
If you’re planning to work in a field where facilitating people’s learning is critical, the Education Graduate Minor can bolster your experience in teaching, student learning, and using educational sciences research.
