ABOUT THE SCHOLARSHIP
What is TLSF?
This fund helps to cover non-tuition costs incurred towards earning your teaching license. Students may be awarded funds to offset licensure costs, including ORELA exam fees, subject test fees, placement fees, fingerprinting fees, edTPA, College of Education processing fees, TSPC licensing fees, and other associated fees as available.
Who is eligible to apply?
Any student currently:
- In the last two years of a teacher licensure program at the undergraduate level, OR
- Enrolled in a graduate teacher licensure program at OSU.
You can submit the application the year before you enter student teaching and the year you are student teaching. Since this is a scholarship, in order to be able to receive funds, you will need to be actively enrolled in credits at OSU in the spring 2026 term. If you are not currently enrolled, you can submit the application in a future year when you are enrolled in courses.
How much is the scholarship?
Awards will range from $150-$1000 and funding amounts are distributed based on the number of requests and financial need.
Applications are due April 15, 2026.
