STUDENT CONTENT MASTERY SHEETS
Content mastery sheets are a course guide to prepare to prepare students for their desired teaching endorsement area. The courses and requirements identified on these sheets are options that align with state and national standards for the content/endorsement area. These content mastery sheets are also designed to help prepare you to take content subject exams in your subject area prior to beginning student teaching. Please review the content mastery sheet for your intended area.
Prospective or current undergraduate students
Your content mastery courses will be embedded into your undergraduate degree requirements and listed in MyDegrees. Please work with your assigned advisor if there are courses listed on these documents that are not listed in MyDegrees or for any course questions.
Prospective graduate students
Download the content mastery sheet that corresponds with the endorsement (subject) area you wish to teach. Use this sheet as a guide to identify and track courses you have completed at OSU or other colleges/universities. You will submit a copy of the content mastery sheet as part of your graduate program application. Please email [email protected] for any questions or assistance with your application materials.
Helpful things to know
- Pay attention to the credit requirement in each area of the content mastery endorsement/option. Many courses may be included as options, but you may not need to take every course listed.
- The content mastery sheets are updated on a regular basis (typically once a year) and course changes may occur due to changes in state standards. You may continue to use prior sheets to track completion of requirements or request to change to an updated year. Connect with an Education advisor at least once per academic year with any questions and ensure you are fulfilling the necessary requirements.
- All content mastery courses must be passed with a C grade or higher.
