A Celebration Just For The College of Education

You've worked hard for this moment, and the faculty and staff of the College of Education want to recognize your accomplishment and share in your joy! Please join us, along with your loved ones, for a celebration of our 2023 graduating students. Details and an RSVP link are below. We look forward to seeing you in Corvallis on Friday, June 16!

Congratulations and best wishes, Dean Susan K. Gardner

About the Celebration:

Date and Time: Friday, June 16, 2023 from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. PST. Doors open at 5:15 p.m. RSVP HERE by Friday, June 9, 2023.

Location: Oregon State University, Memorial Union Main Ballroom, 2501 SW Jefferson Way, Corvallis. Click here for a map of the Memorial Union.

Important Note: Please be aware that the College of Education Graduation Celebration is a separate event from the main OSU Commencement activities. Click here to learn more about or RSVP for OSU Commencement.

Finding the Main Ballroom: The ballroom is located on the ground floor of the Memorial Union and will be entered from Jefferson Avenue. This is a 100% accessible entrance. Upon entering the building, follow the wayfinding signs down the hallway to the left to the ballroom.

How many guests can you invite? Up to four guests per person. Please email us at [email protected] if you require more.

Accessibility: The Memorial Union, where our event is being held, is completely accessible. Please visit the MU's webpage for details and maps showing the location of the elevators and alternate access points.

Seating: We have a section of reserved seating for those who cannot stand or walk for long periods of time. Seating will be otherwise available on a first-come, first served basis.

Graduating Student area: Family members and guests will be seated in the Main Ballroom, but we will have a special assembly area for graduating students upstairs. Here you can visit with your Leads, faculty members, and your cohort. We will have refreshment and photo areas available as well. Once the ceremony begins, your cohort will be led to the Ballroom from this area.

Parking: There is ample parking on campus, most of which is FREE after 5:00 p.m. Use this map to locate parking areas close to the Memorial Union or handicap accessible parking as needed.

Photography: We ask that students and guests remain seated during the graduation ceremony so as not to block traffic flow or the view of other audience members. We will be taking photos of every graduate as they meet with Dean Gardner on stage. These photos will be available for download in the days following the ceremony.

After the ceremony is over, guests are welcome to take as many photos as they’d like. Photo areas will be set up on the Ballroom floor and faculty and staff will be in attendance. College photographers will also be milling about during this time.

Food and refreshments: Graduates and their guests are invited to stay for food, drink and plenty of good cheer after the ceremony concludes. A buffet will be available for all to enjoy. Vegetarian and gluten-free options will be available.

What you wear: It's a celebration so we courage you to dress up for this event — and make sure you wear your regalia!
