Thomas Shelly
Thomas has worked as an Academic Advisor since 2020 and advises Secondary Undergraduate Education Majors at Oregon State. He holds a BS in Secondary Language Arts Education from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and a MS.Ed in Higher Education and Student Affairs from the University of Nebraska at Kearney. He is the Northwest Region 8 Chair for NACADA—The Global Community for Advising. Thomas has also served as the NACADA Region Liaison and on the LGBTQIA+ Advising Community Steering Committee which aims to advance and enhance advising practices for the development and success of LGBTQA+ students. Prior to his work in higher education, Thomas was a middle and high school Language Arts Educator and Head Speech Coach. When he isn't working, Thomas enjoys playing cooperative games like Dungeons and Dragons. He lives in Albany with his husband, Robert, their Corgi, Spud, and cat Nina.
