Nandita grew up in India and studied at the University of Madras, where she received a B.A. in psychology and an M.A. in applied psychology. She earned concurrent M.S. degrees in special education and school psychology, and a Ph.D. in special education from the University of Oregon. Her doctoral research focused on adaptive behavior skills in young children with autism. Prior to pursuing her doctoral program, Nandita worked as a school psychologist in Springfield Public Schools for three years and was involved in consultation, intervention development, and tiered service delivery systems (e.g., PBIS, RTI). She has taught campus and online courses at Oregon State University and at the University of Oregon. Nandita has also supervised pre-service teachers in their practicum field experiences. More recently, she worked as an academic success advisor at INTO Oregon State University, where she provided undergraduate academic advising support to international students in the Pathway program. Nandita’s academic endeavors center on supporting diverse learners.
