Dr. Iftikar holds a J.D. with a concentration in Critical Race Studies from the University of California, Los Angeles, and a Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction, with a minor in Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis, from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He has taught for several years at both the undergraduate level in Asian American Studies and College Composition and the graduate level in Student Affairs and Educational Leadership. Jon has also worked as an undergraduate academic advisor and a graduate distance program coordinator. His research draws on critical perspectives and focuses primarily on issues related to race and racism in higher education contexts.
