Chi Sigma Iota

Chi Sigma Iota (CSI) is the Counseling Academic and Professional Honor Society International. CSI's mission is to promote scholarship, research, professionalism, leadership, advocacy, and excellence in counseling, and to recognize high attainment in the pursuit of academic and clinical excellence in the profession of counseling.

Master's and Doctoral students who have completed at least one full academic term and maintained an overall GPA of 3.5 or better are eligible to join.

CSI members have access to:

  • Mentors, continuing education, networking events, a peer-reviewed journal, and discounted liability insurance.​
  • Fellowships, research awards, leadership internships, essay contests
  • Opportunities to publish or present with other CSI members in peer reviewed publications, chapter newsletters, and local/state conferences
  • A global member network of counseling professionals
