Kevin Zupin is an Instructor for the Double Degree in the College of Education. Before coming to OSU, Zupin was a secondary social studies teacher. He has taught social studies methods and literacy courses at Albion College in Michigan. His area of focus is in deliberation and bringing student-to-student talk to classrooms so that all voices are heard and acknowledged. As a Teacher Associate for the Center for the Study of Global Change at Indiana University he was instrumental in designing a model for deliberation. As part of the outreach program, he presented workshops at the state, regional and national level. He currently serves on the Global Center’s Leadership Team for the Deliberation Process Collaborative to continue implementing this process in P-16 classrooms. He holds an MA in Social Studies Education from Ball State University and a BA in Social Studies and History from the University of Michigan. Kevin was a James Madison Fellow and has participated in numerous seminars sponsored by the National Endowment for the Humanities as well as a Gilder-Lehrman Seminar at Oxford University.
