Holly was born and raised in Ashland, Oregon, but moved to the East coast where she ultimately earned her master's degree in Applied Linguistics at Georgia State University. After teaching in an Intensive English Program in Atlanta, Holly began her career as a public school teacher. Since 2006 she has taught kindergarten through high school. Holly’s primary area of focus is English language arts and English language development. Holly relocated to Corvallis in 2007. In 2017 she transitioned to teaching ESOL endorsement courses at OSU. Her love of education compliments her passion for language theory and desire to prepare future educators of diverse students.
