UNDERGRADUATE Programs CORVALLIS ONLINE
Minor in Education
The Minor in Education will help you learn how to facilitate learning in social, cultural, environmental and personal contexts. This program is designed for non-education majors and provides prerequisite knowledge to pursue graduate work in education and related fields.
Enhance your learning in your chosen field
If you’re interested in building a career that involves providing educational experiences in diverse settings and workplace training, the Minor in Education is designed to bolster your knowledge and success in your chosen field.
The Minor in Education is offered predominantly through our award-winning Ecampus; some classes are in-person, but many electives are offered only online.
The Minor in Education is not part of a licensure program and does not result in a teaching or counseling license.
Gain skills that can be applied to any career
Even if you don’t plan on becoming a classroom teacher in a traditional school setting, pursuing your Minor in Education will provide you with the knowledge to propel your career in a variety of fields. For example, the minor could help a public health student more effectively promote healthy behaviors, or it could open the door to environmental education work for a natural resources graduate.
Pursue exciting study opportunities abroad

"The education minor had smaller classes with an emphasis on group work and getting to know one another."
