Overview

Admissions into the Teaching Bachelor’s option in Clinically Based Elementary Education (BS-CBEE) requires admission into both Oregon State University and the College of Education.

While program admission is open until fall, for scholarship consideration, please apply to Oregon State University online before February 1  (for fall admission) or as soon as possible.

  • Students transferring to OSU from another college or university who wish to apply to the BS-CBEE and have not been admitted to OSU should apply by selecting “Pre-teaching” in the OSU undergraduate application for admission on OSU's website or on the Common App. See additional details below.

    Admission details

    • Note: Admission to Oregon State University does not guarantee admission into the Pre-Teaching major with the Clinically Based Elementary Option. You must meet the additional admission requirements outlined in the Preadmission Screening Canvas site above.
    • For college transfers or current OSU students, selection criteria are based on the applicant's college GPA and application materials. Personal or academic attributes that align with professional dispositions are also considered.
    • The BS-CBEE is currently accepting applications from applicants whose GPA or test scores have been impacted by circumstances related to COVID-19 and therefore do not meet one of the minimum criteria.  If you do not meet the minimum criteria but wish to apply, you should complete all sections of the application and ensure that you have provided relevant information on the additional information/circumstances question of the OSU application. All applications will be reviewed holistically and fully considered.
