Now Enrolling: Teaching Early Literacy from a Multilingual Perspective

In today's diverse classrooms, educators must be equipped with the skills to support multilingual learners, especially during the critical early literacy years. This course is designed to empower K-5 educators with the knowledge and tools to implement culturally responsive, multilingual literacy instruction and is endorsed by the Oregon Department of Education.

Announcing Our New Master's Program in Special Education

The Master of Arts in Teaching in Special Education (MAT-SPED) program, offered in partnership with OSU’s award-winning Ecampus, prepares students to earn a Special Education license in Oregon. Students may complete the degree entirely online, except for the final year which includes a teaching experience in a special education classroom within their community.

Our Master of Education in Adult & Higher Education program prepares you to deliver programming in front of an audience or behind the scenes as a content developer. The Trauma-Informed Classroom

OSU is only one of a handful of universities in the U.S. that provide trauma-informed classroom care training for its pre-service teachers. 

In this video series. Dr. Beth Rankin,, Associate Professor of Practice with the College of Education, and others discuss how creating a "trauma-informed" school environment helps support all students.
