The Education Double Degree is intended as a second degree for Oregon State University undergraduate students.  The nature of the degree requires a primary degree in a field other than education.  Post-baccalaureate students from institutions other than OSU may be eligible for the program based on space available and the endorsement area being sought.

Students seeking endorsements in the following high-need areas will receive strong consideration:
  • Family & Consumer Sciences
  • Mathematics
  • Integrated Science (middle school science), chemistry, biology, and physics.

Additionally, candidates seeking an elementary multiple subjects – self-contained endorsement or a secondary (middle and/or high school) subject endorsement not listed above will be strongly considered for admission if they intend to pursue an ESOL endorsement as well. For more information about ESOL, contact Stacey Lee.

Post-baccalaureate students from other institutions who pursue the Education Double Degree will be required to satisfy the University’s double degree requirement of 32 credits.  These thirty-two credits must be completed in residence.  Additionally, post-baccalaureate students from other institutions must enter the program with a minimum of a 3.0  in both their content area and overall in the last 90 credit hours for a quarter system or the last 60 credit hours for a semester system.
