ESOL: HOW TO APPLY
ABOUT THIS Program:
The ESOL Program is available as a teaching license endorsement and a graduate certificate, depending on your situation.
Applications for the Ecampus graduate certificates open each term following default graduate school timelines.
Currently Licensed Teachers
Currently licensed teachers are required to contact Holly Mitchell to create a planned program. Currently licensed teachers apply through the OSU Graduate School.
The application requires the names and contact information for three professional references and transcripts of all institutions attended. Contact Holly Mitchell to receive a code to be used on the online application.
The Ecampus Getting Started Guide is a great resource for information about setting up your online account and registering for classes. New students are expected to complete the Ecampus Online Orientation to receive a registration PIN number.
MAT Clinically-Based Elementary and MS in Education Students
Students in the MAT Clinically-Based Elementary and MS in Education students must notify their Program Leads before applying for the ESOL Endorsement. Students accepted into their programs under “Conditional Admit Status” must demonstrate solid academic standing before applying for the ESOL Endorsement.

Education Double Degree Students
Students in the Education Double Degree program must complete the ESOL Application and then submit an electronic version of the application to Tiffany Palaniuk. Students must be in good academic standing in the Education Double Degree program before applying to the program.
OSU-Cascades MAT Students and area in-service teachers
OSU-Cascades MAT candidates who plan to pursue their ESOL Endorsement, please contact Rachael Schuetz ([email protected]) for more information.
Teachers who wish to add the ESOL Endorsement to their current Oregon teaching license are asked to contact Holly Mitchell for our program application. You may combine OSU-Cascades and Ecampus online coursework.
