Welcome to the Office of Licensure and Field Services Web Page for Cooperating Teachers, Counseling Site Supervisors, and University Supervisors. Here you’ll find guidelines and resources for helping student teachers and counselors meet the benchmarks they’ll need in order to apply for an initial teaching or counseling license.
There are some common threads across our initial teacher licensure programs. All of our students are required to be formally observed at least six times during their 15 weeks of student teaching. Some of our programs require more than this, and the program handbooks spell this out. School counseling students who do not have a teaching license must be observed three times in a classroom setting.
Within this webpage, you will find links to all of our program handbooks, formal assessment tools and other useful materials.
Please help us to maintain our accreditation database by filling out the Cooperating Teacher Information Sheet, Counseling Site Supervisor Information Sheet, or the University Supervisor information Sheet as they pertain to you.
University supervisors wishing to receive reimbursement for travel miles need to fill out the mileage reimbursement log. Please be advised that mileage will only be paid up to the amount on the standard mileage chart. Supervisors living within the same vicinity as the schools may be reimbursed only for mileage from their home to the school. The Log must be signed by Nell O’Malley or Liz White and both should be returned to Kristin Kinman or Shelly Fell.
