The Master's Degree in Education with an emphasis on Organization and Human Resource Education will prepare you to work in a variety of settings educating adults. You will learn strategies for teaching and training in business and industry, government, community agencies, online environments, and community college programs. You will learn to design and implement curriculum and instruction in basic skills (including English as a second language), work-related and/or content-based instruction for a diverse group of adult learners in business, community, and community college settings. Included in the program content is adult development and learning theories, organizational development, needs assessment and research, instructional technology and instructional systems design.
This program is designed for the working professional, who often finds it difficult to attend weekly classes. Our classes are held one weekend each month, on Friday afternoons and evenings and Saturdays, on the campus of the Wilsonville Training Center (Clackamas Community College), Wilsonville, Oregon. Interim assignments between monthly weekends are supported by mentoring and coaching of instructional staff and peers via the internet. The weekend sessions are highly interactive, engaging, and focus on application of skills that can be applied immediately to one's workplace setting.
